Dr. Apple brings impressive credentials and training to the Castleman Eye Center. He is a board certified ophthalmologist who earned his medical degree at Wayne State University. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute and Wayne State University, where he served as chief resident.

 Dr. Apple specializes in cataract surgery and LASIK,  as well as glaucoma and diabetic eye disease. He is well experienced with refractive surgery, being one of the first ophthalmologists in the Detroit area to perform radial keratotomy (R.K.) in 1986. He has performed thousands of refractive procedures since then. He is a founding member and past President of the Michigan Keratorefractive Society
