A LASIK Tale

Starring Linda Lee and Gina

When Linda Lee’s daughter, Gina, wanted LASIK, the 99.5 WYCD afternoon drive co-host went on a mission to find the best doctor in the area. Hearing about Castleman Eye Center and Dr. Michelle Akler’s outstanding reputation, they went in for a consultation and loved the staff. They chose Castleman Eye Center to perform Gina’s LASIK and couldn’t have been happier. Here is their story:


Linda Lee and Gina arrive at Castleman Eye Center in Troy on the morning of her LASIK procedure.	The duo enters the waiting room where they are greeted by friendly receptionists and escorted to a prep area.

Gina dons her gorgeous hair net in preparation for her LASIK procedure.	Gina and Linda Lee chat excitedly right before her procedure. Gina asks Linda to hold on to her glasses ... even though she won’t be needing them anymore!

Linda Lee and Gina are all smiles after Dr. Michelle Akler has finished the LASIK procedure. Gina exclaims “I can read the clock!”	Dr. Akler makes some last minute checks before sending Gina home to rest for the night.

Gina gives Dr. Akler a big hug after Linda thanks her for taking such wonderful care of her daughter.	Everyone’s all smiles after Gina’s procedure. The next day she comes in for her post-op exam and finds out she now has 20/15 vision — better than perfect!
