Dr. John Ramocki is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who specializes in Oculoplastics. He graduated with this Bachelor's Degree from University of Michigan and his Graduate Degree from Wayne State University. He completed his internship at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit and his residency at Wayne State University with a fellowship in Oculoplastics, Orbital diseases and Neuro-Ophthalmololgy. He is currently on the staff at Kresge Eye Institute and is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Wayne State University.
Dr. Ramocki's clinical interests include surgical correction of eyelid abnormalities including droopy eyelids (ptosis), eyelid malposition defects (ectropian and entropian), and tearing problems.
Dr. Ramocki has given numerous lectures to students, residents and fellow physicians. He has published various medical research papers since his residency in 1982 and was Co-Investigator of the Ocular Hypertension Treatment Study, commencing in 1995. His research interests include orbital reconstruction of patients with craniofacial defects, retrobulbar hemorrhages and optic neuropathies including glaucoma research.
